And let me recommend most enthusiastically: roasted brussels sprouts and roasted cauliflower. What makes these special is a very hot oven: 425 degrees. Simply cut the sprouts in half or quarters (yes the leaves will go all asunder, but surpizingly that makes them especially good and crispy) and drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper. Let 'em go until they are good and brown, stirring them up from time to time. The run-away leaves get all brown and crispy and will make you doubt that something so yummy could possibly be so healthy. Maybe serve with a squeeze of lemon. Treat the cauliflower the same way (except it doesn't get quite as crispy, but still VERY yummy. I couldn't tell you which I liked better. Really. Go do it. Now, or sooner.
